CORPFLIP / GOOD TO KNOW

Help & troubleshooting.

Keep your preparation work clear, portable and under your control.

CorpFlip is an independent business-sale preparation tool. Start with a business profile, add the records you have, and keep a source note beside each important entry. Read the product’s scope and methods.

Start and save your work

Open the workspace and choose Business profile. Select one reporting currency before entering amounts. Use a decimal point, without grouping commas. Save an entry and check for “Saved on this browser”. If storage is unavailable, export a JSON backup before closing the page.

Import monthly CSV records

In Monthly figures, open Import monthly records from CSV. Download the blank-amount template or choose your own file. Select its separator, header row, columns, month format and decimal separator. Confirm one currency and accounting basis. Review proposed additions, replacements and errors before checking the confirmation and importing. Blank amounts and duplicate months inside the file must be corrected; existing months can be kept or explicitly replaced. No file leaves your browser.

Resolve missing information

Open Missing information to review incomplete or overdue tasks, required evidence, unanswered questions and missing source notes. Edit a task to select whether it requires evidence and link references from Evidence index. A required reference must have a location and be marked Located or Reviewed by owner; these remain your own labels, not independent verification. Open items and next actions are included in the free preparation packet and their own CSV export.

Move to another browser or device

  1. On the original browser, open Export & backup and download the full workspace JSON.
  2. Open CorpFlip on the destination device and select Restore JSON backup.
  3. Review the replacement confirmation. Restoring replaces that browser’s current workspace, so back it up first if needed.

The preview website and corpflip.com store separate workspaces. A scenario calculator has its own inputs and JSON export; those scenarios are not part of the full workspace backup.

Understand a missing result

A blank amount means unknown. Enter zero only when the amount is actually zero. A trailing-year result requires twelve consecutive months. The current ratio is unavailable when current liabilities are zero. Valuation worksheets require your own positive earnings and ordered multiples; CorpFlip supplies no market multiple.

Make a readable PDF

Choose Preview & print or Preview report, then Print / save PDF. Select A4 paper and turn off the browser’s own headers and footers if you do not want an extra URL/date on the page. Review every page before sharing. CSV and JSON are separate data exports, not visual reports.

If a public data page cannot load

Use Reload country data and check your connection. The World Bank snapshot is public; your financial entries are separate and remain in your browser. Missing observations are shown as unavailable and are never replaced with zero.

Protect your records

Browser storage and downloaded backups are not encrypted by CorpFlip. Do not put passwords, access tokens or unnecessary personal information into notes. A reference points to a document in your own storage; the tool does not upload or verify it. See privacy and local storage.
